Lorraine was the most amazing Realtor! I was clueless when it came to buying a home and she made the whole experience stress-free and exciting. She gave me all the information I needed to make the right choice and I always felt like she had my best interest in mind. She never rushed me when I got picky and indecisive and I appreciate all the hard work and time she put into making sure my first home was the perfect one for me. This was my first house and Lorraine was excellent at addressing my needs and concerns. She took my rambling description of what I wanted and found me all of it and more! She fought to get me the best place and deal (including against me when I told her I wanted to live in a certain neighborhood). She was always accessible to answer my questions (including while in Mexico) and is an incredibly hard worker (she dealt with my closing papers while at a hockey game). She is a very personable person and she made purchasing a home very enjoyable. I would recommend her to anyone looking to purchase.

I wanted to post a letter of Thanks to Lorraine, but somehow it doesn’t seem to be enough.
Lorraine went beyond the job description of Agent!! She was a teacher – as I knew next to nothing about real-estate, a counsellor – she listened and pulled information and ideas out of our conversations, and an uncompromising advocate for me. We met Lorraine through our son and future daughter in law who had just bought their first home together in the inner city at a very affordable price due to all the effort that Lorraine put into finding just the right house in the perfect location.
Our only hesitation in asking Lorraine to be our realtor for the sale of our Cochrane house was that she was a Calgary realtor. We felt we should go with someone who knew the Cochrane market. However, Lorraine proved us wrong. She sold our house for $20,000 more than Cochrane realtors wanted to list it for.
Our house sold on the very first open house day! One day into the listing. Lorraine had spent many hours "staging" our home so it truly had that “wow” factor. Lorraine even had videos of our house and yard for interested buyers to take home.
We have been so impressed with Lorraine’s professionalism and hard work to ease the stress of buying and selling. Lorraine was always very patient in explaining all the legalities. She presented the pros and cons of each house we looked at.
Lorraine also spent a lot of time with us getting to know our life style, personal tastes etc. so she could show us homes in Calgary that we would be interested in buying. We were in communication daily either by e-mail or phone regarding possible homes. Again, Lorraine’s experience helped us close the deal on a home in Garrison Woods that we would never even have seen without her.

Lorraine was AMAZING! Friends recommended her and we are so glad they did! It is with great pleasure that I recommend Lorraine Beale. I know our successful move to Calgary is due to her tenacity, integrity and unflappable nature.
This fall, I was relocated from Regina to Calgary on a very tight timeline and needed someone who I could trust. Lorraine was recommended by a friend in Calgary and I was not disappointed. I know we had high demands as we knew what we wanted in a house and what price point we had. Weeks prior to our two day house hunting trip, after consultation with Lorraine, she sent listings to narrow our area of focus. By the time we arrived Friday morning we had six listings and a game plan. When showing the house Lorraine commented that she won’t sell anything she wouldn’t buy herself and that was reassuring. It showed in her attention to details about the properties and areas we were interested in and if by chance we stumped her she researched the issue and gave us a thorough analysis. We comparison shopped and when they all were compared to one Lorraine asked us, “can you imagine yourself living anywhere else” and we both said no – then there was no point in seriously looking at anything further and by 1:00pm we had drawn up an offer. Not only did we get our minimum demands but over and above all our expectations.
The negotiation for the final offer was difficult, I am not much of a negotiator but we were in safe hands with Lorraine. I never felt like she would have given up on what we wanted. She fought for us and in the end the other realtor didn’t stand a chance! We walked away after the signing knowing we got the best deal out of the situation and it was exactly as she had predicted.
In relocating your family from one province to another it is like playing dominos, one can’t fall before the other. It was an incredibly stressful time for timelines and finances and with Lorraine I knew her experience and her candor was exactly what we needed. I can’t imagine going through this time with anyone else! I am happy to give her my wholehearted endorsement.

My fiancé and I used Lorraine Beale from November 2007 to March 2008 to purchase our home in Cougar Ridge, Calgary. Previous to Lorraine I used 2 other real estate agents and found Lorraine to be by far the most professional and experienced.
Lorraine has a real passion for real estate and is evident in her knowledge about the markets and properties. There were numerous times when we wanted to look at a house because it looked “good” on MLS but Lorraine suggested otherwise due to location, history of home, builder, neighbourhood etc. She is not eager to make a quick sale to collect her commission. She only recommends properties that are a good investment & exceptional value.
Another thing that really impressed me about Lorraine is her keen eye for details. Immediately after entering a house she dissects and analyzes it: starting from the layout, finishing, colors, smell, quality of craftsmanship, location, neighbours, etc. Nothing is missed. Don’t get me wrong she is not negative; you have to be critical with any property you buy. You must know what you can and cannot work with. Changing the carpet and color of a house is easy but changing the floor layout or ceiling heights is much more difficult. Lorraine analyses this and tells you what could and could not work and weather the additional work would be worthwhile and then incorporates these comments into an offer price.

This note of sincere thanks and recommendation that is long overdue. Please accept our deep appreciation for all you have done for us in our past 3 buy/sell home transactions with you.
In all transactions Lorraine was organized, thorough, and personable. She offered us an objective viewpoint on each house we toured, thereby helping us with our decisions. We found her to be knowledgeable about aspects of realty that surpassed just the legalities of buying and selling properties, and furthermore we were consistently impressed by her understanding of how challenging staging and showing a home with two young children underfoot can be.

Buying your first house is a major decision; who to trust for advice on the ‘ins and outs’ of purchasing a home and other first-time details for those of us with no previous experience at it.
I’d checked the internet for about a year, seeing what was out there in my price range and finally made the decision to take this major leap.
I’d had a bit of contact with one other Realtor during that year, but my perception was that my budget didn’t warrant much time from him and that left a negative feeling with me about who I would choose to take on my housing needs.
Fortunately, I was put in contact with Lorraine Beale and that same day she responded to me asking exactly what my priorities and needs were in choosing a house. There were a number of features that I was looking for and, I honestly didn’t know whether these would be met, and in my price range.
It was a pleasant surprise when within an hour, Lorraine had already emailed me a list of homes for sale that met these needs!
I picked out two or three to look at and she arranged viewings at the earliest convenience for me.
As we viewed these homes, Lorraine was showing me her practiced eye and experience in what some potential pitfalls, or advantages each house had. I became aquainted with Lorraine Beale when we were faced with selling my parents older home in West Hillhurst. A neighbour, who met Lorraine a few years previously and subsequently heard that she had gone into the Real Estate business, gave her name to us. From the moment Lorraine entered my parents home, we knew we had struck gold. Her familiarity with the unique potential of older homes combined with her hands on knowledge of renovation work was unparalleled by anyone else we had spoken to. Lorraine's enthusiasm had us even considering the home, should be buy it from Mum and Dad and renovate it ourselves. Noteworthy here is that the resale price Lorraine recommended was nearly 13% higher than that of other Area Specialists. Despite the $$ in our eyes, it was her experience, professionalism and sheer enthusiasm that "sealed the deal" for us, there simply was NO other choice.
To cut to the chase. After Lorraine agreed to take on the job of selling the house, a burden was lifted. We were lucky to meet Lorraine by chance when we walked into an open house she was hosting. We were so impressed with her obvious professionalism, energy and friendliness that we set up an appointment with her for the next day.
