I was living in my dad's basement far in the suburbs, planning my wedding. About two months before the date, I suddenly realized that once I was married I was going to have to move back into my dad's house! So I went running around in a panic, trying to rent an apartment close to downtown. It turned out that Patricia was the owner of the apartment I was viewing in Ramsay. She looked at me and said, "Can I ask you something? Why aren't you buying?" and I explained about how I was getting married in two months, and how I had no experience in buying a house, and that I thought it would take a long time and I definitely didn't have the time to go through weeks and weeks of red tape. She kind of sized me up, and said, "When do you need to move in?" And I said, "Uh, well, I want to be in the new place by November 1st"; it was October 15th. She paused, and then said, "I can get you into a place by November 1st." Okay, I said, let's see you try.

Two days later Patricia drove me all around Ramsay and Inglewood, on an extensive tour of all the houses in my price range. She honestly explained all the pros and cons of each house and in what ways it would suit me and my soon-to-be husband. In the end, I settled on a house on Spiller Road. Not much to look at from the street, it's large inside and has a big yard. Patricia also represented the sellers. But because of the open and extensive discussions we'd had prior to the sale, I was absolutely comfortable that Patricia worked to assist both sides at getting what was a very fair price. (I should note that the value of my house has risen almost $100K since I bought it just over two years ago - Patricia knew that this area was booming and still got me a fair price.)

When my brother was looking to buy a house six months later, I put him in touch with Patricia, and she eventually sold him the house three doors down from us. We've both been very pleased with our relationship with Patricia and when it comes time to sell this place, she's our agent.
